Dental Emergencies

In Case of Severe Emergencies: For serious injuries or situations that pose an immediate risk to your health, such as severe trauma or uncontrollable bleeding, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room right away. For dental-specific issues, you can address the following common emergencies:

Loss of Crown or Filling: If a crown or filling comes loose, avoid chewing on that side. Contact your dentist promptly for advice on a replacement or temporary fix.

Bleeding Within the Mouth: If you experience unexpected or excessive bleeding from a cut or injury in the mouth, apply gentle pressure with a clean cloth and seek dental care as soon as possible to manage the bleeding and assess any potential damage.

Fractures: For a fractured tooth or dental injury, rinse your mouth with warm water and apply a cold compress to reduce swelling. Contact your dentist urgently to prevent further damage and pain.

Toothache: A persistent or severe toothache may indicate decay or infection. Rinse with warm salt water and take over-the-counter pain relievers while scheduling an urgent dental appointment for a thorough evaluation and treatment.
